Small business forms are usually divided into several categories like analysis forms, legal forms, market research forms, memos, personal forms, and so on and so forth. Business analysis forms help you make better business decisions. Legal forms are there to aid you with the legal aspects that you would encounter in your day-to-day business. Collection or credit forms are designed to notify your customers of their debt to you. You can then gather the information and make an informed decision. Since giving products or services in credit is an integral part of many businesses, these forms form an important part of any small business.
Most websites that offer these templates will offer you instructions on how to download them and what program you can take them into to alter them. Then it is a simple matter of adding a few lines to the template before you print it out. You will have the template on your computer and will be able to use it whenever you need new applications, saving you both time and money.
Use color strategically. Color in forms should be used with care - but used well it can really aid form completion and navigation. In general, yellow, for example, is a color to avoid as much as possible - text set in yellow on a typical light background can be very hard to read - and people can find yellow aggressive. A light shade of a color, like blue, across the whole background of a form relieves the eye from the harshness of a stark white background. And if the answer spaces people have to fill in are white, the tinted background both cues them in to where they write, and allows them to visually sense how much they have to fill in.
Customize response boxes to reflect required answers and reduce completion errors. If asking for a person's date of birth, it makes sense to provide a box with the exact number of required digits and an example or guidance note to explain the format that the date should be entered in (DD/MM/YYYY). People from different cultures have different conventions for answering seemingly innocuous questions like this.
